The Chairman welcomed Gary and Adrian Stevens from Tyn Llan to the meeting to discuss what to do with the wall that has fallen between the cemetery and Tyn Llan once again. It was stated by Cllrs. Robert G. Owen and Eurig Hughes that they had visited the site and that more of the wall had come down this time and had damaged things in Tyn Llan garden. It was asked if this was a boundary wall and therefore the responsibility of the Council and Gary and Adrian Stevens and it was agreed to ask for quotes to begin with.
MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting held on July 16th 2025 were found to be correct.
MATTERS ARISING
Budget Plan
It was reported that the Council had spent £5,250.39 (which included bank charges) since the start of the new financial year and this was £4,507.79 less expenditure than what was earmarked in the budget for the year.
Information Board in Llandanwg
The Clerk reported that she had received a further reply from the Maritime Office in Gwynedd Council regarding installing a new recycable plastic noticeboard and stating that the noticeboard had arrived and that they would be making arrangements to install it in the near future. The Clerk reported further that the invoice for £500 as the Community Council’s conribution towards purchasing this noticeboard had arrived and it was agreed to pay it.
Cemetery Wall
This matter was discussed at the beginning of the meeting and it was agreed to ask for quotes from Meirion Evans, Arfon Pugh, Elfyn Pugh and Gorwel Rogers to carry out the rebuilding of the wall and for them to contact Cllrs. Robert G. Owen or David J. Roberts if they wanted to see the wall before putting a quote in.

The Treasurer reported that there was £25,742.48 in the bank, £5,772.61 in the reserve account .

CORRESPONDANCE
Gwynedd Council – Highways Department
Received a reply from the above department stating that the trees that ar along the side of the road from Argoed to Pensarn will be assessed and if they need any treatment this will be done after the nesting season between September and April. Also stating that the Lighting Engineer is going to see and deal with the street light that is on permanently on the back road from Pensarn towards Llanbedr.
Gwynedd Council – Environement Department
Received a letter from the above Department informing the Council that the road from Rhiwgoch towards Foed will be closed on the 21st of next month on the basis of health and safety to the public during work carried out on behalf of Welsh Water.
Mr. Roger Mayne
Received an e-mail from the above asking why did the Members not support his application to get a walking zone marked along the roadside from the railway bridge to the car park but perhaps starting by the entrance to the Llandanwg caravan park. He was asking for this matter to be discussed at this Council meeting so he will know who were opposing and why. It was agreed to reply stating that the Council were not supporting this applications on safety grounds.
Ms Helen Parslow
Received an e-mail from the above thanking the Council for organizing that the public footpath behind Llwyn Hwlcyn be cut and that this footpath has been excelently cut and that she can walk it now without any problems.
Ms Ros McAlister
Received an e-mail from the above thanking the Council for organizing that the public footpath from Hen Gaerffynnon down to the main road be cut and that this footpath has been excelently cut and that she can walk it now without any problems.
ANY OTHER MATTER
Need to cut the ivy that has overgrown by the hears hut and it was reported because the growth is strong it would be better to ask someone that cut trees to cut it and also it will need to be taken away. It was agreed to ask Mr. Christian Bowater to carry out this work.
It was agreed that the car park at Llandanwg could do with another recycling bin because the one that is already there is working so good. Cllr. Guy Slater agreed to make enquiries regarding this but it was stated that concern was voiced that the bins don’t get emptied often enough especially during the summer months.
Wanting to contact the Highways Department to ask them to cut back the ivy that has over grown along the roadside opposite Derlwyn estate and up Uwchglan road.
