MATTERS ARISING

Budget Plan

It was reported that £10,980.08 (which included bank charges) had been spent since the start of the new financial year, and this was £2,646.87 less than had been allocated in the budget for the year.

Wi-Fi in the Hall

The Clerk reported that there was nothing new to report on the above other than that Mr. Rob Lewis was working to get a system in place in the hall.

HAL

The Clerk reported that a meeting with HAL had been held on July 27th and that there was good representation there. The Clerk reported that a copy of the minutes of this meeting had already been sent to the Members. Information regarding income and expenditure made and received in July had also been received and the Clerk had forwarded this email to all Members.

The Clerk further reported that a meeting had been held with the Councils from the Ardudwy area in the village hall, Llanbedr, on August 3rd to discuss the way forward between the Community Councils of the area and HAL. The Clerk also reported that she had sent the minutes of this meeting to all Members, as well as an email that the Clerk of Llanbedr Council had sent to HAL.

The Clerk informed that she had received an email from HAL on Thursday, the 24th of last month, stating that a meeting with the Community Councils would be held in an hour. This was forwarded to the Council representatives as well as to all Members. It was also noted that another meeting with the Ardudwy area Councils would be held in Llanbedr on the 11th of next month at 7:30 pm, and Cllr. Osian Edwards agreed to attend this meeting on behalf of the Council, as well as the next meeting between HAL and the Community Councils.

The Clerk reported that she had received emails from some residents of the area as well as members of the Ardudwy branch of the Labour Party asking for a public meeting with Members of the HAL Board to discuss the latest situation regarding the site in light of the fact that the café would cease providing food on the 16th of this month and would only be providing drinks from now on, and also that the climbing wall was closed. It was decided that the Labour Party branch would ask HAL themselves for a meeting with them.

Public Seats

The Clerk reported that she had received a copy of the SLPW catalog which shows the available seats. Cllr. Hywel Jones reported that he had inspected the relevant seats and that a new one was needed in the cemetery and also in Y Maes, Llandanwg, but that he could repair the one near Ty Gwyn and also paint the metal one by the roadside. It was agreed to order one at this time and place it in the cemetery, and for the Clerk to make inquiries with the company regarding the price, transportation, etc. Cllr. Robert Owen agreed for this seat to be delivered to Cae Cethin.
