MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting held on May 14th 2025 were found to be correct.
MATTERS ARISING
Budget Plan
It was reported that the Council had spent £3,500.75 (which included bank charges) since the start of the new financial year and this was £5,547.88 less expenditure than what was earmarked in the budget for the year.
Grass Cutting of Public Footpaths
The Clerk reported that she had received complaints that the public footpath from Llwyn Hwlcyn towards Cae Cethin need cutting and also complaints that the public footpath from Hen Caerffynnon down to the main road needed cutting. The Clerk reported further that Cllr. David John Roberts had found someone to cut the footpaths grass i.e Mr. Christian Bowater from Dyffryn Ardudwy and that he had cut the public footpath from Llwyn Hwlcyn towards Cae Cethin already. It was agreed that Cllr. David John Roberts gives him a map and list of the footpaths.
Information Board in Llandanwg
The Clerk reported that she had contacted the Maritime Office in Gwynedd Council regarding installing an aliminium noticeboard and stating the Gwynedd Council would rather see a wooden noticeboard been erected there, but unfortunately they did not have one in stock at the moment and also asking the Community Council if they would be willing to contribute towards the cost of this noticeboard. It was agreed to contribute £500 to Gwynedd Council towards purchasing a noticeboard made out of recycled plastic.

TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer reported that there was £16,198.02 in the bank, £5,772.61 in the reserve account .

Customs & Excise – £124.80 – tax on Clerk’s wages
Mr. M. J. Kerr – £480.00 – open grave re the late Mrs Hefina Griffiths
Mr. M. J. Kerr – £90.00 – open grave re the late Mr. David Greenwood (ashes)
Mr. D. A. Thomas – £320.00 – cut cemetery grass
Hall Committee – £180.00 – hire of meeting room for the year
Mr. Christian Bowater – £280.00 – cutting grass of public footpath
The above payments were processesed by the Cllr. Hywel Jones and Cllr. Eurig Hughes approved the payments and permission was granted to the Clerk/Treasurer to make payment on line or by cheque at the end of the meeting.
The Treasurer reported that she had received an e-mail from the bank stating that they were ending the monthly payment of £5 from the 1st of this month.
The Treasurer asked for the Council’s permission to make payments that look urgent during the month of August as there is no official meeting of the Council until September. Permission for this was granted.

ANY OTHER MATTER
Cllr. Mair Thomas reported that a meeting of the hall committee had been held on the 2nd of this month and that the bank balance was healthy. VJ day celebrations will be held in the hall on the 15th of August and also it was made known that the art class was holding their annual exhibition in Harlech Memorial Hall during August. The next hall meeting will be held on the 1st October.
Cllr. Annwen Hughes reported that contractors were going to clear the sand from the entrance to Llandanwg beach on Friday.
