Minutes of the meeting held on June 8th, 2023 were received as correct.
Budget Plan
It was reported that £5,855.61 (including bank charges) had been spent since the start of the new financial year, amounting to £6,147.34 less than allocated in the budget for the year.
Wi-Fi at the Hall
The Clerk reported no further updates on the above, but Mr. Rob Lewis is working to obtain a system for the hall.
HAL
The Clerk reported receiving an email from a Board Director along with a profit and loss account for May and a monthly analysis of pool usage between January and May. It was noted that the climbing wall remains closed and the café operates on reduced opening hours due to staffing issues. The Clerk also received another email, along with minutes of the meeting held last month on the 29th, and information regarding income and expenditure reductions made and accepted in May. Furthermore, the Clerk received a letter from the Clerk of Llanbedr Community Council inviting two Council members to meet at the village hall, Llanbedr on August 3rd at 7:00 pm to discuss the way forward between the Community Councils of the area and HAL.
Hall Committee – 06.07.23
In the absence of Cllr. Mair Thomas, it was reported on her behalf regarding the above committee – that Cllr. Robert Owen attended the above meeting on the 6th of this month and that the hall insurance is just over £1,000 and the financial situation is satisfactory. There is a rota arrangement to place flowers at the memorial and the Hall will be closed throughout August with the aim of completing the electrical work. The next committee meeting will be held on the 28th of September. It was reported that the issue of a member of the public preventing children from playing in the playground behind the hall is in the hands of the Police.
Public Seats
The Clerk reported that he had put this matter on the agenda because he had been informed that some needed attention and that he had been around the area taking pictures of the seats that needed attention. Cllr. Hywel Jones agreed to ask for the opinion on the condition of these seats and also agreed to change some that have been made from recycled plastic material and discussed further in September.
Election of Councillor
The Clerk reported that he had been informed by the Election Officer that no names had been received regarding a vacant seat that exists on the Council and therefore the Council now has the right to co-opt a Council Member.

The Treasurer reported that £10,369.26 is in the current account and £5,561.18 in the reserve account.

Gwynedd Council – £4,000.00 – contribution to keeping Llandanwg public toilets open
The above payments were processed by the Chair, Cllr. Eurig Hughes, and the Vice-Chair, Cllr. Russell Sharp, approved the payments and permission was given to the Clerk/Treasurer to pay online or by check at the end of the meeting.

The Treasurer reported that this Council is undergoing a full audit this year and that he has prepared the necessary documents and sent them to Audit Wales in Cardiff.
Gwynedd Council – Highways Department
A letter was received from the above informing the Council that drainage work will be carried out on public path number 23 (Penrallt) during this month.
The following report was received by Cllr. Annwen Hughes – Cllr. Annwen Hughes reported that she had received a complaint that the wooden sign post had disappeared from the top of the zig-zag path and a metal one had been installed in its place and she had contacted Gwynedd Council regarding this and was awaiting a response from Rhys Roberts. She also reported that the footpath guidance at the junction of footpath numbers 52 and 53 Llanfair has now been given its place. She had received a response from the Footpaths Officer stating that the flagstones on Llandanwg beach indicate where the dog bins have been emptied in the weather and have asked for some new ones. She stated that the training of the fire stations would be taking place and that this would affect Wynedd.
It was learned that the church gate pole needs attention and agreed to allow Cllr. Hywel Jones to view it.
Need to repaint the white lines on Penrhiwgoch crossroad and agreed to link with the Highways Department again regarding this. Cllr. Annwen Hughes reported that she had contacted the Highways Department regarding this already.
Public path number 34 from Penrallt to Pensarn needs to be cut and the Chair agreed to let Mr. Roy Carter know about this.
Concerns were raised by one Member that he had received a dishonest questionnaire from Gwynedd Council and sent it to the attention of the Member of Parliament.
